David Dutwin is a scholar of research methods, the formation of mass opinion, and rhetoric. He has taught at the Universities of Washington, Pennsylvania, and Arizona.
Dr. Dutwin is Executive Vice President and Chief Methodologist at SSRS/Social Science Research Solutions, located in Media, PA. He works with a number of clientele on survey research projects including CBS News, the New York Times, the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation, the Urban Institute, Public Agenda, the Pew Research Center, and many others.
David is an active member of AAPOR, the American Association for Public Opinion Research, serving as a member of the Standards Committee and the Communications Committee, as well as teaching multiple courses on survey methods, both at the national and regional conferences as well as via webinar. He was the Student Paper Award winner at the national conference in 2002.
In addition to a book on raising children in the age of digital media, he has published a number of research articles primarily focused on survey research methodology, in topics including sampling, survey error, Hispanic survey research and religious demography.
David is a Research Scholar of the Institute for Jewish and Community Research, as well as Principal Methodologist for JPAR/Jewish Community and Action Research.
David attained his Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 2001.
