Eric Wellington, Ph.D.

For the past eleven years, Eric R. Wellington has been employed at Delaware County Community College and is currently the Dean of Business and Computer Information Systems. After graduating from Youngstown State University with his Bachelors in Communication Studies, he moved to the area to complete his Masters in Communication Studies at West Chester University. He attended Capella University, where he completed his Doctorate in Educational Administration.

Dr. Wellington has been an adjunct professor at West Chester University, St. Joseph's University, and Delaware County Community College, where he taught courses in higher education administration, communications, public speaking, and web page development. Dr. Wellington worked with small to medium businesses when he was employed at the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry. His role was to help these businesses create and maintain web sites through the Chamber.

In his current position he is responsible for the Business and Computer Information Systems Department. In this role he manages 19 full-time tenure track faculty, more than 100 adjunct faculty, and the department's seven full time support and administrative staff. He is responsible for curriculum development and the budget for the department. In addition, he is charged with the management and leadership for most of the non-credit operations for the college.
