Dr. Orr is a scholar of persuasion and the philosophy of communication. He is also a communication and leadership consultant. Among the clients he has served are DuPont, The United States Chamber of Commerce, QVC, Centocor, and Merrill Lynch. His academic writings have appeared in Communication Monographs, The Quartely Journal of Speech, and Communication Education. He holds
a B.A. from Messiah College, an M.A. from Northwestern University, and a Ph.D. from Temple University. Dr. Orr joined the faculty of West Chester University in 1986.
