Job Description
Comcast Spotlight, the advertising sales division of Comcast Cable, helps put the power of cable to use for local, regional and national advertisers. As a traffic coordinator, I am able to utilize the skills and knowledge I gained while working toward my Communication Studies degree everyday.
Some of the responsibilities at my job include:
-Providing support to sales staff across Comcast Spotlight's Eastern Division.
-Scheduling and ensuring commercial advertisements air on cable networks per a client's contract.
-Inputting the titles of client advertisements into a database and entering the instructions for ads airing on the appropriate cable network, zone, time, and according to the ad priority rating.
-Maximizing billing opportunities by evaluating sold and scheduled inventory and adjusting commercial placement manually on a daily basis.
-Communicating regularly and effectively with the Sales Department regarding the status of a client's advertising schedule, including possible commercial spots that were not scheduled or broadcast as instructed.
-Revising and replacing instructions for advertising broadcast schedules when necessary.
-Assisting in maintenance of Master Client Files
-Facilitating communication with Clients, Ad Agencies and Account Executives regarding late or missing tapes
