On Tuesday, September 29, 2009, the Communication Studies' honor society, Lambda Pi Eta, hosted the Communication Showcase. The purpose of this event was to give all students at West Chester University the opportunity to see different organizations offered on campus, specifically within the Communication Studies major. The organizations that participated included Students in Communication, WCUR, WCU-TV5, The Quad, The Serpentine, Contemporary Issues, Forensics, and Lambda Pi Eta.
The event was a smashing success, with dozens of WCU students turning out to learn more about these organizations. Each organization that presented had at least a few members sign up to join. All that attended were treated to some delicious catered food and entertainment provided by WCUR.
Lambda Pi Eta wants to thank the Communication Studies department for making this event so successful. Special thanks go to Dr. Thompsen, Dr. LeVasseur, and Dr. Boyle!
