A unique feature of the B.A. Communication Studies program is that majors may secure internships ranging from 3 to 12 semester hours of credit. To qualify for an internship, a B.A. Communication Studies major must have completed at least 15 semester hours of course work in the department, and have an overall G.P.A. of 2.75 or better and a G.P.A. of 3.0 or better in departmental courses. Special requests may be made by students who come within .2 of these averages. Internships can be arranged with area radio and television stations, businesses, government agencies, and service organizations.
